In life we all go through bad things at times which we can not control, experiences which shape who we become and how we perceive the world. Traumas that have the potential to harden and cripple our spirits or to uplift & strengthen us. Lizzy, before you came to us you endured severe neglect, abuse, and you struggled with your medical problems. You were left cold, hungry, unloved, alone in the dark. When we got you no one thought you would make it through that first night. But you proved us all wrong because you were amazing! You never gave up. With love and light, you grew stronger and flourished. You learned to walk, eat and even drink again. For nearly 2 1/2 years we were blessed to have you as a member of the family. And while I wish it were more, I know every day with you was a blessing. I could have had eternity with you Lizzy and it still wouldn't have been long enough. You were much more than a pet, you were a kindred spirit! We were always together! Cuddle buddies and seizure sisters. You never let your limitations get you down. You somehow managed to condense so much happiness, strength, will power, determination and an indomitable spirit into such a tiny skinny 19" body! You inspired and awed us. You loved cuddles, raspberries, super worms, lying in the sunlight, having your nails painted and "OH ,the dresses!" Who knew bearded dragons could have a passion for fashion? Lol. I know prior to you Liz, I never did! But you loved your dresses and the attention you got when you'd wear yours out! You were indeed a fancy dragon my love. The sweetest most beautiful dragon a girl could ever have. I'm sure after years of neglect it was the adoration and attention you had longed for. You deserved it too! You were endlessly surprising us. Your beautiful bright eyes, gentle personality and sweet infectious smile made us all smile with everything you did. Only you could make eating roaches look adorable. You touched so many people through your story and presence. My beautiful Lizzy. What can I say about you? You were a beacon of pure light, a radiator of warmth despite being cold blooded, sunshine with scales, a treasure to anyone whom met you, and you are severely missed! You mesmerized us and made even the most reptile phobic people feel at ease. You proved to people that dragons could smile & are just as magical as the legends told. You were my friend, my golden girl, my beautiful sweet unforgettable Lizzy. Love knows no boundaries nor does it differentiate whom we love or those whom touch our hearts. You were amazing, my love! You were important, your life mattered, and you ARE loved, not even death can stop that. I pray you rest & play eternally in that warm golden heavenly sunlight in the meadow over the rainbow bridge until we meet again. Sweet dreams my love! -Alexandria & the Ubeda-Sipe family
